Whether I’m working on an independent film project, illustration, or animation project, I am inherently curious and enthralled by the creative process. With a background in video art and independent film, as well as drawing, painting, illustration, and black and white photography, my work and ideas are expressed through a variety of mediums and reflect my diverse training and interests.

Strongest influences include the artists Matthew Barney, Paul McCarthy, J.M.W. Turner, Annette Messager, and Takashi Murakami; the directors Chris Marker, Lars von Trier, Errol Morris, Louis Malle, and Hayao Miyazaki; the writers Michael Pollan, Haruki Murakami, and George Orwell; the musicians Peter Gabriel, Mum, Brian Eno, Sigur Ros, Bach, and Rachel’s.

Currently I enjoy working on freelance illustration and on independent films and animations in Portland, Oregon.
